My passion for sports cars goes back to the first mini I owned. In 1959-60, l lived in England. I brought back one of the first 998 Mini Coopers  in the US. In 1966, I was stationed in Panama. I purchased another mini put together by Ed Praxel and used it for autocross and hill climbs. With the help of Dave Feller, I later built a Formula Vee and raced it in the first Grand Prix of Panama in 1969 - a course set up in the streets of Panama City. After that, I had little involvement in auto racing other than an occasional trip to Lime Rock Park or Watkins Glen to watch a race. In 1995, I decided to take the 1983 BMW 320i that I had in the garage and turn it first into a track car and then into a BMW club racer. I also started racing the 320i in Vintage Racing.  Through BMW Club Racing, I met Perry Genova and Lance Dunbar of Skidmark Racing. Perry encouraged me to build a 2002.  In January of 2004, I acquired my 2002. In September 2004, it was race ready.
