Winning is not the most important thing. I participate in BMW CCA Club and Vintage Racing because of the camaraderie and the need to be competitive. Heck, how many people are crazy enough to compete with an E21?

I recently sold the E21 and I am now building a 1972 2002 Tii.

Watch this space for developments.

Many thanks goes to Peter Krause at Krause and England in Raleigh, NC for encouraging me put this car together. Also, to my wife Michele, who owns this car and first thought all the changes I was making added to her driving pleasure. Once the roll cage appeared in the car, she realized that she could no longer drive it to work and requested that I buy her a new car.

I started using this car in the stock configuration for driver's schools in the summer of 1997. Since then, it has slowly evolved into an BMW club MP racer first with the stock fuel injection and later with a 38/38 weber. More recently, with help from Peter and Perry Genova of Skidmark Racing it has evolved into an LP car and vintage racer with the addition of twin weber 45's and a 304 cam.

Later this year, I expect to move it up to Modified. I'm currently working on an engine with Arias pistons, Crower rods, a 316 cam and "Skidmark" rocker arms made out of 7075 aircraft quality aluminum.
